Armory is built privacy-first. Your records — firearms, ammunition, range sessions, serial numbers, and photos — are stored only on your device. No account. No cloud. No tracking. Your data never leaves your phone unless you choose to export or share it yourself.
Who we are
Armory ("the app", "we", "us") is an iOS and Android application developed by Hayden Otto. This policy explains what data the app handles and how. It applies to the Armory mobile app and no other product.
Information stored on your device
Everything you enter into Armory is stored locally on your device in an on-device database. This includes, depending on what you choose to record:
- Firearm records (make, model, caliber, serial numbers, photos, notes).
- Ammunition inventory (caliber, brand, grain, cost, quantity).
- Range sessions, round counts, and maintenance logs.
This information is never transmitted to us or to any third party. We have no server that receives it, and we cannot see it. Serial numbers and any other sensitive details you record stay on your device.
Information we do not collect
- We do not require or offer an account, login, or sign-up.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
- We do not collect advertising identifiers or build user profiles.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information. We never see it.
Purchases and subscriptions
Armory offers an optional paid upgrade ("Armory Pro") as an annual subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Purchases are processed by the App Store (Apple) or Google Play (Google). We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status across your devices.
For purchase management, RevenueCat receives a randomly generated, anonymous app-user identifier, your purchase receipt, subscription status, and basic device and platform information. This is used solely to deliver and restore your Pro entitlement. RevenueCat does not receive your firearm, ammunition, or any other in-app records. Apple and Google handle your payment information directly under their own privacy policies; we never receive or store your payment details.
Exporting and sharing
Armory lets you export your data and share cards (such as a collection or range-day summary) using your device's standard share sheet. These actions are always initiated by you, and the data goes only where you send it. We are not involved in and do not receive a copy of anything you export or share.
Data retention and deletion
Because your data lives only on your device, you are in full control of it. Deleting a record removes it from the app, and uninstalling Armory removes all of its on-device data. There is nothing for us to delete on your behalf, because we never held a copy.
Security
Your records are stored within the app's private storage on your device, protected by your device's operating system and any device passcode or biometric lock you have enabled. Keeping your device secure and backed up is the best way to protect your Armory data.
Children
Armory is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children — and in fact we do not collect personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the revised policy at this URL. Material changes will also be reflected in the app's listing.
